Crispy Fried Banana (Pisang Goreng)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of rice flour
- 1 cup of wheat grain flour (Tepung gandum)
- 5 tablespoon of coconut milk
- 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric powder (optional)
- 1 egg
- Water
- Margarine
- Salt for taste
- Oil for frying
- Bananas
Preparation:
- Melt the margarine, ensure that it is not hot
- Mix the rest of the items except for the melted margarine, make sure that the mixture is not too thick, add more water if necessary.
- Pour the melted margarine in and mix all well.
- Dip peeled bananas and make sure each bananas fully covered by the mixture.
- Heat a frying pan with oil, we are going to deep fry the bananas.
- Once the pan is hot enough deep fry the bananas till they turn golden yellow.
- Pick them up and serve
