Crispy Fried Banana (Pisang Goreng)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of rice flour
  • 1 cup of wheat grain flour (Tepung gandum)
  • 5 tablespoon of coconut milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric powder (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • Water
  • Margarine
  • Salt for taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Bananas

Preparation:

  1. Melt the margarine, ensure that it is not hot
  2. Mix the rest of the items except for the melted margarine, make sure that the mixture is not too thick, add more water if necessary.
  3. Pour the melted margarine in and mix all well.
  4. Dip peeled bananas and make sure each bananas fully covered by the mixture.
  5. Heat a frying pan with oil, we are going to deep fry the bananas.
  6. Once the pan is hot enough deep fry the bananas till they turn golden yellow.
  7. Pick them up and serve
  8. Enjoy
